Hunters Hear a Roar in the Night

Bigfoot Encounter Report
Location: Eastern North Carolina
Date: Late November, sometime in the 1980s
Witnesses: Multiple individuals

Incident Details:
The witness and a group of fellow deer hunters were staying at a hunting property. Late one night, they stepped outside to smoke and enjoy some lighthearted conversation. While laughing and joking, they were interrupted by a sudden, powerful roar that seemed unlike anything they'd ever heard.

The sound was described as resembling a human voice, but it was impossibly loud, deep, and sustained, longer than any person could manage. It reverberated in their chests, reminiscent of a siren, but without the high-pitched tones typically associated with such a sound.

Unsettled, the group immediately retreated inside. The most alarming part of the incident was the reaction of two German Shepherds known for their aggressive and protective nature. These dogs, who would typically challenge any intruder, instead cowered under a car, visibly shaking in fear and refusing to come out.

Follow-Up Notes:
At the time of the encounter, the idea of Bigfoot was not considered, as the witness associated the phenomenon with the West Coast, not the eastern United States. Despite this, the sheer power and uniqueness of the sound left the witness questioning what could have produced it. While not definitively claiming it to be a Bigfoot, the witness acknowledged the lack of other plausible explanations for the event.
